Water sport governing our bodies warn that Nice Britain will be unable to duplicate their Olympic success except motion is taken to enhance the cleanliness of Britain’s waters.
At Paris 2024, 47% of Workforce GB’s medals got here from water sports activities.
Extra governing our bodies have joined the marketing campaign group, shaped in April and generally known as the Clear Water Sports activities Alliance, to deal with water air pollution.

They are saying 18% of medals received at Paris 2024 have been received by athletes who practice open air in rivers, canals, lakes and open water and so they intention to take motion to assist enhance the well being of UK waters by 2030.

Earlier this month it was introduced that water company bosses could be banned from receiving bonuses and even despatched to jail beneath new authorities laws to fight air pollution.
The marketing campaign group say it welcomes the invoice and appears “ahead to ongoing discussions… to make sure that plans for the trade meet the calls for of their members for protected, clear environments the place they will get pleasure from being on, in or beneath the water.”
