The potential new proprietor of Castleford Tigers has been granted an extension to attempt to full his buy of the membership.
Property businessman Martin Jepson had been given till 31 January to take up the choice to finish a takeover, however that has not been met.
In a press release, the membership cited some areas of due diligence that required “deeper investigation, external“.
Consequently, it has been agreed by all events to increase the deadline till the top of April.
Lifelong Castleford fan Jepson will proceed to run the membership within the meantime, having taken operational management in October from the Fulton household.
The Tigers start their Tremendous League marketing campaign on 14 February away to Hull KR, having completed tenth final season.
