Legendary racehorse coach Barry Hills has died aged 88.
The Lambourn-based coach loved greater than 3,200 wins throughout a profession lasting over 40 years.
After a profession as a jockey and head lad, he started coaching in 1969 and received 10 British and Irish Classics, together with the two,000 Guineas with Faucet On Wooden in 1979 and the 1,000 Guineas with Ghanaati 30 years later.
Hills racked up victories the world over, together with the 1973 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with Rheingold, and broke information with Nagwa and Additional Flight.
