Julia Avila says she knew it was time to retire from MMA when she struggled to select her daughter up after a coaching session.
The 36-year-old American hung up her gloves following defeat by Jacqueline Cavalcanti at UFC Struggle Night time in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Talking at her post-fight information convention together with her daughter on her knee, Avila revealed she’d made the choice to retire earlier than the bout.
“I keep in mind one time after a tough coaching session, it was actually tough for me to select up my daughter,” stated Avila.
