Greater than 520 extra former rugby gamers have joined a concussion lawsuit in opposition to the game’s authorities, in keeping with the regulation agency bringing the case.
Rylands Garth says there at the moment are greater than 1,100 former gamers concerned, with 784 from rugby union and 319 from rugby league.
Steve Thompson, Mark Regan and Phil Vickery – a part of England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning squad – former Wales stars Gavin Henson, Colin Charvis and Ryan Jones and England and British and Lions scrum-half Harry Ellis are among those seeking damages from World Rugby, the Rugby Soccer Union and the Welsh Rugby Union.
In November, former British and Irish Lions duo Lee Byrne and Phil Greening have been confirmed to have joined the concussion lawsuit.
The previous gamers declare the governing our bodies have been negligent in failing to take cheap motion to guard them from critical mind accidents.
An identical motion is being taken in opposition to the Rugby Soccer League (RFL) and the British Newbie Rugby League Affiliation (BARLA).
“Gamers proceed to play nearly all-year spherical, with many elite gamers quickly to embark on extraordinarily bodily summer season excursions throughout the rugby world. We are going to proceed to battle for justice for many who gave a lot to the sport,” a Rylands Garth spokesperson stated.
