A younger gymnast who has gained a nationwide competitors has stated her final goal is to compete on the Olympics.
Tyliyah Shannon-Grey, from Nottingham, claimed the 2025 Excel 2 British All-Round title in Might.
The ten-year-old, who has been coaching for the reason that age of two, stated she needed to emulate her sporting idols like Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles.
Her coach Jemma Wilson stated: “If she carries on with this trajectory we’re wanting on the 2032 Olympics and past.”
Tyliyah is a member of the Robin Hood Gymnastics Membership and trains at its centre in Sherwood.
She stated: “I need to go to the Olympics.
“I really like gymnastics a lot, I really like doing flips, it’s quick and it’s cool.
“I get my inspiration from Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, LeBron James and Noah Lyles.
“Simone was an Olympic champion at 19 and I take a look at them and suppose ‘that is what I need to do.'”
Tyliyah’s father, Tyrell Shannon – a former footballer – stated: “We’re tremendous proud.
“There is no such thing as a strain from me, I simply need her to get pleasure from no matter she does in life, no matter she does in sports activities.
“The objectives and achievements are going to come back with dedication, arduous work and self-discipline.
“The sky goes to be the restrict if she simply continues on the trail she is on.”
Ms Wilson stated Tyliyah’s potential was apparent from an early age.
“She has been right here since she was two and she or he was instantly bouncing off the partitions.
