Jersey swimmer Filip Nowacki has damaged the European junior file within the 200m breaststroke.
The 17-year-old – who received three medals on the British senior championships earlier this 12 months – clocked a time of two:09.11 within the semi-final of the European Junior Championships in Slovakia.
Nowacki, who’s part of the Team GB world-class swimming squad, broke the file that had been set within the earlier race by Turkey’s Doruk Yogurtcuoglu, who swam 2:10:63.
He’ll race within the ultimate on Friday night having already been in wonderful type.
Nowacki broke the British age group file within the 50m breaststroke twice as he went on to win silver within the ultimate, and nonetheless has the 100m breaststroke to race as nicely.
