‘I’m from the land of sluggish meals and quick vehicles’ – Chef Massimo Bottura on taking on Ferrari’s well-known Ristorante Cavallino


When acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura was first approached to take over the legendary Ristorante Cavallino on the Ferrari manufacturing facility in Maranello, he turned the supply down. “I didn’t assume I may do it, so I stated no,” says Bottura.

Born and raised in close by Modena, Bottura – holder of three Michelin stars at his restaurant Osteria Francescana within the coronary heart of town, simply half-hour from Maranello – was conversant in Cavallino from a younger age.
