When acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura was first approached to take over the legendary Ristorante Cavallino on the Ferrari manufacturing facility in Maranello, he turned the supply down. “I didn’t assume I may do it, so I stated no,” says Bottura.
Born and raised in close by Modena, Bottura – holder of three Michelin stars at his restaurant Osteria Francescana within the coronary heart of town, simply half-hour from Maranello – was conversant in Cavallino from a younger age.
