Irish jockey Michael O’Sullivan is in intensive care in hospital after a fall at Thurles on Thursday.
The 25-year-old was driving Wee Charlie for Gerard O’Leary and was considered one of three fallers on the ultimate fence within the two-mile Racing Once more February twentieth Handicap Chase.
The 2-time winner on the 2023 Cheltenham Pageant was handled on the observe earlier than he was transferred by air ambulance to Cork College Hospital.

An announcement revealed on X by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on Friday stated: “Michael is within the intensive care unit at Cork College Hospital being handled for his accidents sustained at Thurles yesterday and is receiving the most effective medical care.

O’Sullivan shot to prominence in 2023 when successful the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham aboard Marine Nationale earlier than successful the Fred Winter with Jazzy Matty.
This season, he has ridden 14 winners in Eire and two in Britain.
