Castleford Tigers have introduced in Ben Davies on an preliminary two-week mortgage deal from St Helens.
However the Tigers could have the choice to increase the mortgage to a full season.
Davies, 24, has performed 40 video games for St Helens as both a centre or a second-row since becoming a member of from Widnes Vikings in 2020.
